I just wanted to share with you the most adorable ribbon sculptures, hair clips and little girl's accessories in this Etsy shop:  Yaya's Accessories

I love the new Party Favors too.  It gives me a lot of ideas of what can be done with Bottle Caps.

I hope you are all having a great life.  Mine is quite busy but full of joy and happiness watching my daughter grow.

Over a year overdue

I have been so busy with life, that my creative self was in house arrest.  I have started many projects, some completed, yet no time for blogging or uploading pictures of my work.

These cards were made over a year ago, and in the next days I will be posting a lot more of what I have made.

Aren't these just adorable?  Just imagine a gift with this final decorative touch on it.  Forget about stopping by the store to get the card on your way to the birthday party.  You will have these with you at home and you can get as creative as you want or not with the wrapping adding these cards as your personal touch for that loved one.

These packs make great gifts as well.  My daughter just loves to see one put on a present.  Of course, she also wants to play with them cause they are that cute.

I have many girl ones made too. Stay tuned and Thanks for reading.

Playing with Chalk Ink

Today I have a simple card that can be easily reproduced.  I struggled a little bit with the design, but I used all the ideas from the Holiday Card Workshop and ended up having a satisfactory result.

For the snow beneath the snow man, I used a sponge dauber and chalk ink.  I really look the "snowy" "cloud like" effect I got.

I love the swiss polka dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug, I seem to reach out for it a lot.

This second card was a result from experimenting with a mask and applying ink directly from an ink pad.  I also used the same mask with a sponge dauber, both times with dark green card stock and color box chalk ink.  I pick the sponge dauber as a winner!!!  I think direct application from the ink pad is harder to control and makes its way beneath the mask for a splotchy result.

My workspace is small, yet I managed to lose the other trees I made with the dauber :(  I wanted to post both for comparison.  I guess I'll just have to edit this post when I find it ;)

It's already day 7

We are almost done with the Holiday Card Workshop.  I will miss looking forward to logging in and seeing the great cards, techniques and tips.

I am still working on my mom's gift tags, so I need to direct inspiration from class this way :)  The great thing about it is that I get in crafting mode after each session!

Gift Tags for Mom

My mom wanted some gift tags with her name on it for her girlfriends' presents.  I wanted to make them all the same, but I have really been inspired in different ways by the Holiday Workshop, and instead of making them in a batch, I just create 3 of each kind.  I need to make 18 of them, I think this pace is not productive but at least I know it's more fun.

The great snowflake background from Kathy's card at HCW - Bonus Day 1 kind of inspired me to use these snowflakes in my tags.

I really need to improve my pictures, but I am using up all my time for making cards.

Bonus Day 2 (Yes! we had two bonus days) was all about using non Holiday stamps and I used this tree that is part of a Being Green stamp set.

Card with Dies I won

I won a great set of dies and goodies on World Card Making Day at Ellen Hutson's.  I have been looking forward to using them on a card.  I finally crafted some time to use one of them: the Impression Obsession Tree Line die.

What I love about this particular die is that it can be used in non Christmas projects, like a masculine card, which is a great plus.  They are also perfect for winter wishes and Happy New Year's cards.

I also won these great goodies that I have yet to play with:

Last Cards of my Set

I am so happy to have finished this set of cards for a gift.  These two are the last ones in the batch and I am using the ornaments that I painted on the first day of the Holiday Workshop class.

I used distress inks and markers for the ornaments.
